The word sustainability comes from the Latin sustinere (tenere, to hold; sus up). Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising our future.
As a principal of Realty Trust Group and D & P Management Group, Brian strives to make the buildings he owns and operates completely sustainable and to share his sustainability knowledge with his clients and tenants. Brian is an Earth Advantage Sustainability Accredited Real Estate Professional with specific knowledge about the benefits of green building techniques. Sustainability as a business opportunity has led his restoration and remodel projects by championing earth-friendly environmental practices, innovation and dedication to quality-of-life.
Brian’s concept of sustainability goes beyond bricks-and-mortar real estate. Building sustainable communities and neighborhoods is also part of Brian’s mission. He is a vigorous board member and champion in one of the city’s leading youth development organizations, Self Enhancement, Inc. as well as committed to Big Brothers and Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, and Portland Public Schools.
